Walk on the Wild Side
Join local forager Russ Lake on the flood plain of the Kinnickinnic river to identify and taste wild edibles.
Russ renewed a childhood interest in foraging after meeting Sam Thayer 20+ years ago. He has lead plant walks annually for Riverfest, The Psychology for Sustainability class at UST and other groups wanting to learn more about the topic of foraging.
We will meet at Kinni Sun Farm by the big red barn and drive/carpool to the river from there. Please wear sturdy shoes and tick protection. There will be a short walk from the parking area to the featured location. Russ will be wearing a microphone.
Bring bags, gloves, and scissors for gathering wild edibles.
