SUMMARY:Walk on the Wild Side
DESCRIPTION:Join local forager Russ Lake on the flood plain of the Kinnickinnic river to identify and taste wild edibles. \nRuss renewed a childhood interest in foraging after meeting Sam Thayer 20+ years ago.  He has lead plant walks annually for Riverfest\, The Psychology for Sustainability class at UST and other groups wanting to learn more about the topic of foraging. \nWe will meet at Kinni Sun Farm by the big red barn and drive/carpool to the river from there. Please wear sturdy shoes and tick protection. There will be a short walk from the parking area to the featured location. Russ will be wearing a microphone. \nBring bags\, gloves\, and scissors for gathering wild edibles. \nWednesday\, May 20\, 6:00-8:00pm (gather at 6:00\, class runs from 6:30-8:00)\nW10505 860th Ave\nRiver Falls\, WI  54022 \nNon-member sliding scale fee at the door: $10-20.\nRSVP is required in order to have enough supplies for all attendees. If you\nRSVP and find later that you are unable to attend\, please email connect@scvherbguild.org so that someone on the waiting list can attend in your place.
